Milie Cobb born and raised in Ephrata Washington for 20 years. The daughter of Miles and Shelley Cobb, the youngest of six children. Being raised on a cattle ranch Milie has learned how to work hard, be independent, and has learned to be responsible for herself and the animals entrusted to her.  Milie graduated from Ephrata High School in 2022 and has excelled in 4-H and FFA, showing steers at the Grant County Fair for 10 years working with the younger generations teaching them the importance of caring and bonding with their animals and competed on the Ephrata WAHSET team her senior year. In November of 2023 Milie achieved her FFA American Degree which is the highest degree an FFA member can hold that shows dedication to their FFA career. She hopes to help future generations of FFA achieve their American Degree as she becomes an Agricultural teacher. Ever since Milie was 5 she has always loved her horses, and ever since then she has enjoyed learning new ways to expand her horsemanship everyday. This past year she has been attending Big Bend Community College to achieve her associate degree then transfer to major in agriculture education at University of Idaho. Milie has also been a member of the Stardust Cowgirls Drill Team, she has spent the past two summers traveling and performing in rodeos and parades in Eastern Washington. Drill has made a great impact on Milie’s riding abilities and taught her many lessons including teamwork, commitment, and integrity. Milie and her horse Smokey have come a long way in the past year, having been on the drill team they have learned to work together and formed an amazing bond. She found her best friend south of Othello in January of 2023 as they were looking for a horse that would help Milie progress in her horsemanship and become her best friend. Smokey is a 13 year old, Andalusian Quarter horse cross and loves his treats. This next year Milie is excited to travel with her parents and of course Smokey, all over Washington State representing the 75th annual Othello Rodeo and get to meet so many great people along the way.
